Hey guess what?

I'm allergic to my cats. And I'm feeling it. Oh the itchy eyes.

Yes, I was getting allergy shots for about a year. But the new insurance will not cover them, and I cannot afford $232 a month (for real).

Someday my job/insurance will cover it. Until then I will wash my hands relentlessly, vacuum more and become good friends with the allergy pill.

  1. I'm allergic to cats too but I can't stand the anti allergenic medications. Here are a couple of steps that I find help to take to minimise the effects of cat hair:

    1) Keep things as dust free as possible.
    2) Keep a flow of fresh air in your house.
    3) Avoid rubbing your eyes at all costs.
    4) Wash your hands after touching the cat or furniture.
    5) Go out for fresh air if the allergies build up.

I know these aren't cures but they do help minimise the symptoms.

Can't believe you'd have to pay $200+ per year for meds! Healthcare in the States is nuts but I guess that's the price of having such a hugh military budget!
