Basically I woke up at 2am on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and the bedside light was on. There are three possibilities for how this could be so:
- I somehow magically became a normal/easy sleeper and fell asleep with it on.
- I turned it on in my sleep.
- It magically turned itself on. There are only three ways this could have happened:
- One of the cats is genius and flicked it on.
- A ghost turned it on.
- A person, besides myself turned it on.
Or:
ReplyDelete- You woke up and turned it on during a dream? Sort of like what can happen with an alarm clock sometimes, say, when a person has to be up at 5am to catch a 7am flight, and that person is pretty sure she not only set the alarm, but turned it on; and then that person wakes up at 5:56am. Did she turn it off and go back to sleep, with no memory? Did she never set it? Did she really think that no one will guess she is writing thisc comment? :)
Or, what if the power went out in the night and came back on, and somehow, that caused the light to come on.
Or, what if there is a short in the cord somewhere, or the bulb is not quite in, which can cause some flickering to happen.
I feel sure there is a tangible, physical explanation, and I would say that even if we were not both women who live alone.
