Request...

I have a question for anyone out there who runs/works out while listening to music. What music really "pumps you up"? My sister and I compared workout music the other day and I got a few good songs off of her...I was hoping to add a few more, add some variety....

Anyway, if any/all of you could post a song or two that you really like to workout to...that would be great. Oh...and I'm going to test out letting anonymous people comment again....

  2. when i work out i have to listen to either awesomely bad pop music or good rap/hip-hop. like either cristina agulaira or jay-z. has to be high-engergy, none of my typical folk/mellow stuff. i recommend almost anything by kayne west,or some justin timberlake

  3. you wouldn't like the music I listen to. but I used to have a whole cd that started out slow got fast and then was slow again to help me cool down. so that's a thought too.

  5. Off the top of my head my favorite workout songs that are currently on my mp3 player are (in no particular order):

Oh, and I might have the names/titles wrong sorry about that. And one more thing, you can't make fun of me for my bad music choices.

Elvis Presley, "A little less conversation"
Red Hot Chilli Pepper "Love Rollercoaster"
Groove Armada "I see you baby"
    Muppets "Movin' right along"
    Metallica "Exit Light"
    Ludacris "What's your Fantasy"
Nine Inch Nails "Fuck you like an animal"
    BNL "One Week"
    Foo Fighters "Everlong"
    "Jock Jams Remix"

So that's just a sample, but hopefully it gave you some ideas.

  6. Embarrassing but true: "Hung Up" by Madonnna is a ridiculously good running song.

  7. I have about 10 work out playlists with close to 100 songs. Here are a few of my favs...

Most anything by Jay-Z ("99 Problems" is my favorite), the Hustle and Flow soundtrack (especially "Whoop That Trick", Ashlee Simpson ("la la"), George Michael ("Too Funky"), Ricky Martin ("Shake Your Bon Bon"), Black Eyed Peas ("Shut Up"), Chingy ("Holidae Inn"), most anything by LL Cool J (especially "Control Myself" & "Hush").

  8. I like uptempo electronic music. Royksopp is only ok because most of their stuff isn't like all that energetic, but anything with a steady and driving beat is good. Thing is, very few people listen to what I do...so I will feel like a d-bag if I start naming off all crazy-ass names that you'd never find anyway.
